Located between rivers and gorges you can choose your pick for relaxing near the cool water on a hot summers day. The closest spot is in the village it self, where locals come at the end of the day to enjoy the cool breeze from the water fall. Lac du Salagou is a quick drive away and our favorite deep rockey gorges are an adventurous day trip to remember! Even the famous coast of the south of France is only an one hour drive away, where fresh oysters and seafood are a local delicacy in the small fishing town of Bouzigues. Local fisherman are preparing their catch of the day for you, as fresh as it can get. And it is nothing fancy, affordable good seafood, as good as it gets!

Lunas is dynamically positioned between mountains, rivers, the sea and cities. We like to share some of our favorite locations and acivities close to our home. Our favorite day trips for a city get away are to Beziers, Sete and Montpellier. With plenty to enjoy in all these cities they vary from coastal fisher towns, to larger cities with great bars and resaurants. Around Lunas there is a rich varity of rivers and lakes to swim, kayak and hike around. We have beautiful hills, mountains and gorges (canyons) to go for longer and if wanted more intense hiking. The rivers around offer loads of summer fun and activities, renting kayaks for the day or find you own queit spot to swim and read books on the banks of the gravezon. The famous Grandes Causse is a great destination for a day trip as well offering spectacular views and beautiful hiking.

The world famous resort and spa of Avène is a 30 minute ride, people from all over the world visit for specialized treament for skin condition and joint desease like artitis. We host people yearly during their treament period, but you can also pass by for a more leisurely visit to the spa and relax and enjoy yourself.
